Featured Vendor: Julianne Smith – Wedding Garters

I had the pleasure of “meeting” Julianne back in May when I created a custom “pink carpet” for her launch party. Of course, I haven’t actually met her, but I hope to one day. :) Anyway, Julianne makes the cutest wedding garters I’ve seen. They’re hand-crafted (which you know I love), colorful, and exactly what every bride who is wearing a garter is looking for. Be sure to visit her site or follow her on Twitter.

1. What inspired you to start your company?

I have always been a crafty and creative person. So, when I couldn’t find a garter to match the style and personality of a friend of mine, I made it myself.

2. What wedding trends are you currently loving?

I really like all the personalization and customization that everyone is doing. I admire weddings that follow traditions, but put their own spin on them.

3. What wedding planning advice would you give to engaged couples?

Just have fun! It sounds cliche’, I know. But, really enjoying all the moments (not just “the” moment) is the most important thing.

4. What do you love most about your job?

The creativity. I really enjoy working with brides from start to finish and helping them create a wedding garter that makes them happy and perfectly matches their personality.

5. What are your favorite wedding websites and/or blogs?

Besides the Customized Wedding Creations blog, it would be tough to choose!

  • How wonderful. Congrats for the great feature Julianne. I didn’t know that Cherin created your runner – how wonderful. I really love all the customizations and personalizations that are being done in todays wedding community. The hand-crafted handmade artisans are finally getting credit and respect where it’s due.

    Great blog Cherin :)
