Now that 2008 is coming to a close, I find myself thinking about the past year and all I can do is smile. We’ve had a busy year with constant growth and success and I couldn’t be happier. Customized Wedding Creations has been able to add to the ambiance of so many weddings and events this year and we can only look forward to the many we’ll add to next year.
Our final blog posting of 2008 centers around an order Loretta placed for her daughter’s New Year’s Eve wedding. This runner was by far the most time-consuming and detailed runner we’ve worked on to date. Loretta explained to us that crystals and sparkle are the focus of her daughter Danielle’s wedding, so she wanted a lot of bling to be incorporated. Having just finished our very first bling monogram aisle runner, I suggested going with a monogram done entirely in crystals or rhinestones. As much as Loretta loved the idea, she was a little concerned about Danielle’s cathedral length lace veil snagging on the crystals. Not willing to take any chances, changed her mind and asked if we could do crystals just along the edges of the runner, on the ribbon border. Of course we said no problem. She also decided to have the monogram painted in silver paint and then coated with silver glitter on the top coat. Finally, she chose to have a non-slip runner but asked for a wider version of our standard 36″ width. Of course this wasn’t a problem and we wound up getting her a 44″ width runner. I absolutely love the way the runner turned out and wish only the best for Loretta, Danielle, and Michael.
